Pierre Bayle (1945-2004) – Terres Sigillées
Cette exposition prend tout son sens à la fois sur le sujet historique dominant la « terre sigillée », technique hautement ancestrale datée des grecs, et sur la personnalité artistique étonnante de Pierre BAYLE, en quelque sorte la matière et l’homme.
La poterie de terre sigillée est l’usage d’une engobe à base de fleur fine d’argile qui recouvre cette poterie ; cette argile a longuement décanté dans l’eau de pluie, procédé également employé pour la chaux du peintre en « lait de chaux ». Les poteries enduites de ce lait d’argile ferrugineuse seront vitrifiées ou enfumées par cuisson au four à bois après polissage au galet éventuellement, car chacun a ses recettes et son projet esthétique sur cette engobe.
Pierre BAYLE, les ami(e)s, qui lui rendent hommage et qui l’ont apprécié humainement, le situent comme un artiste des temps modernes. Son âme a la perception du sacré, du perfectionnisme esthétique naturellement beau, de l’art du feu et du symbolisme à travers mythes et fantasmes. Son long cheminement personnel, ses dépassements permanents nous font conclure qu’il s’agit d’un « Grand Art ».
Dans cette exposition, nous présentons une ronde d’artistes talentueux, artistes s’exprimant en terre sigillée et en raku, et ainsi nous atteignons une forte densité sur la céramique contemporaine avec une charge émotionnelle complexe, en particulier avec Sophie Combres disparue en plein élan créatif. Nous avons souhaité y associer également des artistes significatifs et reconnus pour aboutir à un tout cohérent, un salon d’automne des arts associés : peintres, plasticien, sculpteur, une génération qui laisse une empreinte et un avenir.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
